Comment:

This is basically an updated version of my tape for Jess, titled "Disregard That Last Statement." As of this writing, she hasn't listened to it. I asked her if she'd be more likely to listen if I made a CD version. She said yes.I then asked her to list the songs on the original tape that she'd already heard. I got rid of most of them; let me tell you, it was ESPECIALLY heartbreaking to leave off Elvis Costello's "Man Out of Time." I also replaced the Queen song: the nine-minute behemoth "March of the Black Queen/Funny How Love Is" was deleted to fit; "Seven Seas of Rhye," at 2:48, is in its place. (But really, I shoulda put on "Father to Son.")This was kind of a pain to make, as I had to drag everything out again. I certainly hope she enjoys it.

Great, eclectic list. I'm glad to see someone with tastes similar to mine.
