Comment:

So, I tried out a Power Pop mix. I really liked some stuff I heard by Big Star, Fountains of Wayne, and Cheap Trick, so I started finding out about a bunch of other bands. I looked at some stuff on AOTM, and on Amazon to find some bands...this is what I came up with. I've now decided Power Pop is amazing, and I've added about 7 or 8 new CD's to my Christmas list. I found some of this stuff online, some I (or my dad) had. Suggestions are always welcome. The Who track may seem a little off the mark, but i think it qualifies as power pop, especially comparing it to later stuff. And that's all.

Wow, tons of great picks here. And a great title! Especially like the Marshall Crenshaw song. Surrender never gets old, and a good Fountains of Wayne pick. Underrated song by the Who, as well. Bravo.

This is a stellar mix. If you like Big Star, and especially Badfinger, you should really get your hands on some Sloan Supergrass and SFA would do the trick as well. I'm actually in the process of making a similar mix with some of the pop bands in my collection. I'll let you know when it's done. Maybe we can set up a trade.

That should read:

"Sloan. Supergrass and SFA..."

3 bands, not two. Sorry!
