Comment:
My friend needed some music for a modest house party. Since you can never please everyone (or anyone) at one of these godforsaken things, she just asked me to throw something together. I figured these are relatively non-cheesy dance-esque tunes that aren't too invasive, and not too chill, either. I'm no DJ, but I tried to follow a naturally oscillating cresendo of tempo -- not like anyone'd be dancing or anything. We're all about 24 years old, when parties increasingly consist of mild (wine) drinking, chatting with annoying couples about work, and making up clever excuses to leave. I think it's a good mix, but some might be put off by the '80s-ness of a couple tracks. Hey, I thought that bullshit was back in style?Feedback:
Cool - I like this a lot, and it's definitely given me some good ideas; I'm going to be doing the same thing next week for a friend. Air and David Holmes are always good choices!
