yes, the drumm/tetreault is technically guitar/turntable, but drumm's guitar "playing" is about as un-electronically manipulated as fennesz or ambarchi (although he claims the counter). really, my tossing in the "powerbook" in the description was more out of laziness to invoke the shared aesthetic of microprocessed avant squiggles and belches that run throughout. ie, radian and supersilent "bands" that incorporate electronics into what they're doing, and the janek schaeffer track is also obviously heavily processed guitar.
