Comment:
Another mix for Sue, aka a guilty mix, because I haven't been able to send off her last mix until after this payday. (Monday or Tuesday, Sue -- I promise.) The Church track is my favorite from the new album, and since Sue said she hadn't heard it yet -- fun for everyone! A handful of these bands I discovered through a good friend of mine who works for a label/distributor -- Dolorean is beautiful, spare acoustic loveliness; The Scooters are a Scottish band who should be huge, sadly are not, but that shouldn't stop everyone from purchasing their sublime album I Can See Your House From Here, one of my favorites of 2002; and the Nanook of the North track is a wonderfully strange indie tune that sounds straight from a stage musical. I love the Sun Kil Moon album so much that -- to paraphrase Ryan Adams -- it makes me want to punch myself in the mouth. There just seems something inherently wrong with scruffy American white boys making music this goddamn pretty. (I call this the CSNY Syndrome.)Feedback:
looks interesting
Really nice. Love to see the Telepathic Butterflies included!
Lovely. Mix and cover art.
I'm sure Sue (SueEW?) will love this. I know I probably would. Fantastic cover as well. An A package, for sure.
