Comment:
Another mix for my friend Yasmeen Sometimes, soon to celebrate her birthday and take off for England for an indeterminate time. I think anyone into the New Wave scene from this area would appreciate some of these tunes. The CD is designed to provoke an emotional response; it starts off pretty upbeat, but there's some depressing numbers buried in there. I realize it's kinda "yobbish" an' all, and there's a lot of covers, and it's pretty poppy (the obscure stuff is just too hard to find) but I think it makes for a good, wistful plane ride. And yes, I used a line from another Jam song, that I decided to switch up. Two songs with an exclamation mark show up here -- that's gotta be a record of some sort.Feedback:
ooh. just the idea of this mix makes me want to dance.
oh man. hott. and Yasmeen Sometimes is a pretty great name.
really great stuff all around (ok maube not a flock of saegulls ;) )
