Time will tell with Belly, Tanya Donelly's brilliant 90s band. No one made music as dark, strange, and beautiful as they did -- nursery rhymes for adults. If anyone were to ask me what albums I felt were criminally underappreciated, King would easily make my top five. Sure, not as unsettling as Star, but a great pop record in its own right. I haven't been as into Tanya's solo stuff, but there are certainly a number of gems to be found. So many great songs left off, but I'm really happy with the mood of it.

Well, hell, ya gotta love the damn title. Are you familiar with Mary Margaret O'Hara by any chance? I'm not sure what this sounds like, but the title reminded me of some of her work.
Yes, I am, and Tanya Donelly is a huge Mary Margaret O'Hara fan. I would say there is an influence in some aspects, particularly in the vocals.
Belly were a very underrated band..hopefully the "classic alternative" format that is rumored to be the next trend will get them more exposure...
Sometimes I regret trading in their first album.
