Comment:

a tape for June Seventeen which hopefully grooves in all the right places with enough London references to be endearing as opposed to annoying. apart from re-using the Why?/Sly segway i put on another tape this tape also has the following semi-interesting facets - a minute glimpse of Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers getting ready to record; an unintentional repeatition of the world 'Golden' in song titles; some gnarly Drum and Bass; abstracted folk noise; spacey ambient Japan; and a song originally recorded for an 'emperimental' production of Romeo And Juliet. True. (If you believe sleeve notes)...

can i just bear witness to the greatness that is a james porter mixtape? can i take a minute to testify? everyone should beg, borrow, steal, cajole, extort, impugn, or otherwise obtain one (or more). this looks to be yet another lovely specimen. fantastic stuff here, mr. porter!
