This looks even better (in terms of picks) than your first one, although I really miss "For the Turnstiles" (a top-tenner for me), "Stupid Girl" and "Motion Pictures."

Got to agree with Rob re For the Turnstiles. Otherwise faultless. Who dares do a Neil through the 80's mix?

Well, I've previously tackled a 2-cd 90's mix, which turned out surprisingly strong. I'd like to do an '80's mix, but I don't own any of the discs, and I'm not going to buy them for the 2-3 marginally decent songs on each (though I happen to think that Trans is kinda fun). And, alas, I've never been a "Turnstiles" fan (aside from Yo La Tengo's nifty cover); probably the one track I skip over on the otherwise incredibly On The Beach.

All the ones I'd pick.

Good set. Neil Young albums of this period are the kind that you don't really skip through, so it must be hard to pull such a mix.

Funny... As I listened to this after finishing it, I came to the same conclusion. However many truly great songs Neil may have -- and the number is astounding -- "Powderfinger" is the best of 'em.
