Comment:

Giant pines, snow-tinseled & gleaming under a star-frosted sky; silver bells jingling crisply in the distance; wood smoke rising fragrantly into the icy air; and friendly voices sending carols thru the sparkling night. It's Christmastime . . . and this is a little sonic rollercoaster sleigh ride thru the genres to brighten up your holiday season. It took me quite a while to put this together, and loads of stuff, from Captain Beefheart to Milton DeLugg & the Little Eskimos, from Billy May to Bob Marley, had to go. So rest assured there's enuff left for next year. Have a merry one, y'all.

Bah hummer bug! I hate Christmas carols almost as much as I hate Arbor day, but this looks jolly good. Of course, the Rotary Connection and Barbara Morgenstern selections don't hurt a bit.

Hmmm, I haven't even worked in a record store...but I hate xmas music, too. But, as the swede says: "this one looks really cool to me." Those first three a great start and I'm sure it continues the good stuff from there! Dennis was gone too early! Damn there's a lot of stuff I haven't a clue about..., know the artist but haven't heard the track....great effort here Thomas!

Maybe I can't think for myself these days, or else great minds think alike (Whatever), but I agree wholeheartedly with what Valis and P the Swede say. Also, Everytime I hear the Wombles these days, I enjoy it. I think there's something wrong with me, but that's another matter. Nice picks, Thomas. Frohliche Weihnachten, Freund!

If only shops would play this CD, my Christmas shopping might go more smoothly (well, it might at least start).Apparently some shop workers here are trying to sue their employers on the grounds of mental cruelty, or some such, due to the incessant shitty Christmas music they have to withstand!

Finally, a Christmas mix I'd want to listen to, and thanks to your recent shipment, I can do just that. Gotta love any mix that includes the talents of Sonic YOuth, the Wombles (I dig em' too GErry!) and Kurtis Blow. As you might have heard, I've had some computer problems the last week, but I'll drop you a line soon.

One of the better x-mas mixes I've seen. I'm also a fan of the Wombles - whom I stumbled upon after falling in love with Mike Batt's "Six Days In Berlin". Is the Sonic Youth song a Cheech and Chong cover?!?!

This mix is absolutely fantastic. Rotary Connection through The Four Seasons alone put me in, uhm, what can only be described as the "christmas spirit." Christmas doesn't put in the the christmas spirit. This mix will be like my christmas prosthesis. Thank you Thomas!

Thomas - I guess you're still not getting my e-mails, dag nab it!
I did get your Xcellent Xmas package (including never before heard or dreamed of Ngoma sizzle) & I'll be sending you a belated New Year's package this weekend, but this e-mail glitch is just mysterious. Somehow I've lost that alternate address you sent me to try out, did that one ever get through? If so please send it again; in the meantime I'll just have to send via postal mail & AOTM-feedback - sheesh!
