I had this one repeat the other night and kept waking up to Mr. Jones' crooning. (It was not unpleasant.) At first I thought it was a very long song but later (when I was more awake) I realised that it was not and I had probably woken up more than once thinking I was listening to the same playback. Who would have thought he would have written a song about me?

Lots of beautiful stuff here...Particularly enamored with Saul Stokes, Numina and Mr. Roach (who I often think of as overrated--that is until I listen to his "music" at length and end up in a trance it takes days to snap out of...Lastly, your ruminations on thought and perception bring to mind the age old question regarding the tree falling in a forest and whether it makes any noise if no one is around...The best answer to that conundrum--IMHO, of course--is that there would be no sound made, because sound only exists in our ears...It is not the tree crashing that makes the sound, it is the inner working of the human (animal, really) aural system. That aside, are you a Thom Brennan or Giles Reaves fan?...Their deep space, drone-like recordings are among my favorites...Thanks for listening...

Ken,

Thanks for the comment. Just ( literally--today, @ Borders) picked up Roach's Mystic Chords & Sacred Spaces for a minimal/deep net mix that I'm planning for early '04.

I have Giles Reaves'
Suspended on a Sea of Glass -- great stuff (used After the Falls a previous series)--dunno about Brennan though...so much ether & so little time!

Another l@bour of love. These discs just setup their world and suck you in. Nice to be reminded of the quiet bits of Holst (which must be Mooded soon). A lovely set of discs.

Hey Gene

I sent you an e-mail yesterday, but it was returned. Hopefully, you'll get the second one I sent. If not, can you mail me please? All is okay for the 4/4 trade and your stuff'll be in the mail tomorrow.

Regards,

Gerry
