Comment:

Okay, waayyy overkill. I guess I may as well include a top ten list as well:

Best albums of the year:
1. The White Stripes "Elephant"
2. Cursive "The Ugly Organ"
3. Radiohead "Hail To The Thief"
4. Fountains of Wayne "Welcome Interstate Managers"
5. The Postal Service "Give Up"
6. The Polyphonic Spree "The Beginning Stages of..."
7. Ted Leo & Pharmacists "Hearts of Oak"
8. Ben Harper "Diamonds On The Inside"
9. Ryan Adams "lloR N kcoR"
10. Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks "Pig Lib"

Best live acts I saw this year:
Radiohead/Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks in St. Louis
Dave Matthews Band in Columbus, OH
Ben Harper/Jack Johnson/Kid Koala in Columia, MO
Fountains of Wayne in Springfield, MO
Los Lonely Boys in Columbia, MO
Cowboy Mouth/Wil Seabrook Band in Kirksville, MO
Holden at Pier 17 in San Francisco

Dishonorable mentions: 50 Cent (I just don't get it), Christina Aguilera, Puddle of Mudd, Hillary Duff (I believe the worst sin a musical act can make is not being bad, but being DULL), Nickelback, Limp Bizkit, Britney Spears...and all the other usual suspects.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

Cool I was also at the amazing Radiohead concert in St. Louis. Go to Sleep is awesome Live. As was After the Gold Rush.

I'm with you one dull artists being worse than bad artists. At least a bad artist elicits some kind of response. I gotta go back and check out the ted leo album again, I've seen it on a few people's lists. Looks like you bought a shitload of records this year!!!
