Comment:
I was going for a particular vocal/production sound here --- a spacey feel. The earliest ones were easy (Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, It's A Beautiful Day, and Quicksilver Messenger Service). Cousin Jane by the Troggs is a great, creepy little-known song by them. Both the Steve Miller Band and Fleetwood Mac songs are from the time before they became pop sell-outs. The Lou Reed is from one of his relatively forgotten albums, Sally Can't Dance. Tommy Bolin was a phenomenal young guitarist and songwriter who died much too young. The last song by Josh Rouse is from a Clash tribute CD.I also have a Spacewomen mix, of course, which I'll post later.
Feedback:
I love this mix. Real good stuff you put together here.
