Comment:
The Story continues, Vol.2 of my favourite gigs attended.1. Love the Fannies and a mate of mine roadies for them.
2.Primal Scream - Seen them loads of times and never been to a duff gig.
3.Leftfield - Blew me a way from what I remember.
4.Oasis - Blinding Glastonbury gig just before they took off.
5.The Orb - Great gig but it freaked me out finding myself stood next to Tim Rice of he and Andrew Lloyd Webber fame, christ knows what he was doing there? Or was it just me?
6.Faithless - Great festival band.
7.Ozric Tentacles - Me at my hippy zenith.
8.Burning Spear - For me probably the best gig I ever attended at Brixton Accademy, or to that matter perhaps the best gig ever period!
9.Dub Syndicate - My love of reggae was peaking around 95 when I saw these guys.
10. To be honest I'd never heard of Zion Train before seeing them and this still rates as one of my fav gigs.
11.Nenah Cherry(minus Youssou N'Dour)Wasn't a fan b4 the gig certainly was after.
12. Johnny Cash - The man in black was so cool and very funny too.
13. Paul Weller- My wife is a huge fan of the angry middle-aged man. I was realy impressed by him live too.
14. - Bootleg Beatles. Too young to catch the Real McCoy but these guys are the next best thing.
15. - DreadZone. Must have seen them 6 or 7 times and they were excellent every time.
God I must have been to hundreds of gigs in my time, sadly tours in France tend to centre on Paris, so I don't get to many these days. I'm thinking of checking out the European festival scene next year so hopefully I can correct the barren gig situ.
Feedback:
lots of brilliant pix here. especially burning spear
It looks like you've been to some amazing shows FC. I've only seen Oasis on these shores. Maybe I should move to Europe...
Love, now, for some reason advertised as 'with Arthur Lee', are playing in Aylesbury at the end of Feb. We have got to go . . .
ahhhh...the tentacles of it all! :)
