I started this, trying to include Avril Lavigne covering Metallica's Fuel. Sum 41 had covered Avril's Complicated once in a concert, but I never found someone who covered Sum 41, so I went from Metallica until I found someone who covered them, and made this chain. So each song is a cover song, the original artist is listed below its song, covering another song. I got most of my information from http://www.coversproject.com

This is very cool, nice work. What could beat Ramones doing Surfin Safari? By the way, I assume you know this, but anything you see on coversproject.com needs to be independently verified. That site went thru a long time of letting anyone enter anything, and a lot of erroneous information crept into the database.
