This mix is one I gave to my boyfriend as part of his Christmas present, with three objectives in mind. He recently said "I love you" for the first time and I couldn't say it back although I feel it, so I wanted him to know how much I really do love him (hence the inclusion of Ben Folds, David Gray, Stevie Wonder and a few others). I also wanted to include some of the songs which we always put on at the jukebox in our University social bar (Songbird, Red red wine, Stand by Me) so it wouldn't be too intimidating including too much music he hadn't heard of and would have to get into. However I wanted to introduce him to some of the music I like which he hasn't heard before (or I assume so) for instance: Shea Seger, Jets to Brazil, The Eels and (embarassingly) Jeff Buckley. Basically I wanted it to be something he'll enjoy when he listens to it tomorrow, and now I'm panicking that he'll think I'm a sad cow and that I have the worst taste ever!! Yea, find out what kind of music he really really likes, out THAT on the tape, but first tell him you love him. I have a g/f who sends me tapes all the time, and I love them because she knows what kind of music i like and she puts that on there, but writes a mushy love note inside the jewel case. heh.
If you feel it say it, cos the poor guy is probably wishing he'd kept his mouth shut at the moment! Re the mix, there's some great stuff on here.

Noo, I didn't mean I'm embarassed to like Jeff Buckley I meant I'm embarassed to have to include him in the "my boyfriend hasn't heard of him" category!
Thanks for the other feedback, he said he loves it and hasn't changed in his attitude so it hasn't scared him or anything seemingly - although maybe I was over-estimating the result it would have!
