Nice. I love Joy Division...I haven't heard much New Order, but what I have heard I love. I need to check them out sometime. Great mix.

Joy Division is easily one of all time favorites, illustrating, in my mind, some sort of pinnacle of "rock" music. New Order have always been hit or miss with me. I like the fact that the bass often carries the melody, giving it a heavier sound, but this holds true for Joy Division even more so. Some New Order strikes me as a little vapid, but if I listened to them more, I may come to appreciate them more. Cool idea for a mix.
It is really cool that this group continued after the death of their singer, and became a different band, despite the fact that it was the same members. Kind of amazing.

YES YES OF COURSE JOY DIVISION BEING PROBABLY MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE BAND NEXT TO THE CURE, I HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING HERE. BTW- I AM WRITING THIS IN ALL CAPS IN MR. CURTIS' HONOUR... THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY HEAD THAT I'M HEARING PETER HOOK WHEN I HEAR ANY OF HIS BASS LINES. JOY DIVISION AND NEW ORDER ARE BOTH QUITE HANDSOMELY MELODIC BANDS I BELIEVE MOSTLY BECAUSE OF THE BASS. AND BEING A POTENTIAL BASS PLAYER MYSELF THIS IS SOMETHING I HAVE ALWAYS APPRECIATED IN ALL MUSIC.

This is a great mix. I recently "rediscovered" Joy Division myself. I absolutely love "Disorder."

O.D'd On Joy Division back in the days when etc but this brings back some grreat memories. Did Joy Division start life as Warsaw? Perhaps someone could let me know!

they were once called warsaw but they had other names before warsaw. there u go
