Comment:

I was planning a 2003 mix but got no inspiration then i remember when I was 14 and could stay in recordshops for hours just dreaming of all the great albums I couldn't afford. David Bowie was involved in 4 albums this year, all of them are 6 out 5 stars, Brian Eno did also work on all of them and did a great album by himself too, this song is an anagram for.... yes you guessed right Talking heads, just stop for a minute and think that once upon a time people and journalists actually called TH for Punk. Blue oyster cult is a band that people often forget when they talk about 70's rock, great band. Stranglers are cool dudes, they even did a hate song to Sweden in Swedish. People who think the Ultravox song Vienna is a good one shouldn't listen to their 3 first albums but people with good taste should, classic stuff. 1977 was also a great reggae year, I could easily filled a whole disc with HQ stuff from that year but managed to just pick these 2 (and did not include anything from the best reggae album in the world ever, Congos - Heart of ). Tom Pettys first albums are pretty cool stuff I think even if I was dissapointed that christmas when my father give it to me, 'cos I had wished for Johnny Thunders Heartbreakers. When I bought Marquee moon that year I couldn't really get it, I prefered Ramones, nowadays I love both. Dead boys are a pretty stupid group maybe that's why I love their first album so much. Adverts, Alternative TV and Damned are great rock band but also perfect anti-rock, there should more people who oppsite all rock'n'roll cliches. What can I say about Pistols and Clash, they changed my world. Why I picked that Eddie & hot rods song ? I don't really know, maybe 'cos it's just a great song, I should really picked Alison, who's one of my fav songs of alltime but it was too slow. For you who've seen my mixes earlier on knows that I love soul music and I love disco too, I could easily picked Rose Royce, Emotions, Trammps or Marvin Gaye but I choosed just this Donna Summer track 'cos it's energic and vital as the Clash track.

Sweet, the year I was born. Love the Iggy, BOC, and Tom Petty tracks.
