Comment:
It's been so cold, cold, cold. I wanted to make a mix from a warmer clime but this set morphed into something hot, dark, and dangerous. Rasta righteousness with a few angry Brits thrown in for some cultural diversity.Feedback:
Irie, irie great stuff you know mon
Fantastic! I love all of these.
Congratulations Emery!!! RastafarI!
I & I say rastafari. Superb mix Emery. On a personal note, I only rate the first UB40 album as any good or maybe Present Arms (Dub Version only) Keep em comin.'
Congratulations! Excellent selections. Love the Augustus Pablo especially.
Oh yeah, that Tosh song is a *great* opener. And it just cranks from there, top shelf all the way.
Great energies. Step it pon the Rastaman scene.

What the hell do I know about reggae? Ah yes: nothing. Still, congrats on Mix o' the Week. Although anyone called 'Burning Spear' sounds compelling in a violence-in-movies kinda way. Out.
I also don't know a heck-of-a-lot about reggae...but I did once take a small boat ride from St. Maartin to Anguila; just before boarding, some dude with a small entourage walks up with a guitar, selling tapes. He played on the pier & then boarded the ferry and played on the ship...so I bought a tape ($5.00 American)--can't find the tape anymore -- but it was a cool boat ride!
Congratulations on MotW...looks rockin' & boppin' mon...

THis looks wonderful George - been to Negril on 4 successive Thanksgivings in the 80's, just as the dj and electronic drums were creeping in. I much prefer the old stuff. What do you think is the best Augustus Pablo cd - have never heard him.
The best Augustus Pablo CD? Probably a toss up between East of the River Nile and King Tubbys Meets Rockers Uptown. Both have been recently remastered and reissued with bonus tracks.
missed this one when it hit... looks like hot stuff. rastafari, I-tinually, seen?
beautiful mix here... I can't wait to start working on my annual summer set.
