This was actually a two CD set, not cassette. I know I missed some things -- like right now I thought of Kevin Sheilds new material on the Lost In Translation soundtrack, oh well. Also, there's two Outkast songs because I consider Speakerboxxx and The Love Below to be two completely different albums, and largely different artists. There's also some music that is local to Nashville, but it's good stuff that deserves to be recognized. I did a play list like this too, & need to post my 2nd one. Some cool stuff... luv the Radiohead, white stripes, blink, & BRMC tracks. I didn't know the Cardigans had some new material.
yeah, i cheated. the album, "Long Gone Before Daylight", won't be released stateside until march i believe, but has been out in sweden for quite a while. i heard it, loved it, and bought the import. it's really awesome.
Very entertaining mix. It's hard to pick the very best of 2003. I am puzzled that "Clocks" by Coldplay did not make your list. I have a few songs, R.E.M. "Bad Day", Dido "White Flag", and Kelis "Milkshake".
well, "Clocks" was a big song in 03 and i considered using it, but their record was released in 02.
The Death Cab CD was one of the best of the year, I agree. The Appleseed Cast was another good one--missed it on mine tho.
