Comment:

I was sitting around one day, bored as usual, and flipping through a magazine that had an article on the 100 greatest songs ever in rock n' roll. It really pissed me off. So many of my favorite songs were no where to be found. Artists I HATE like Led Zeppelin & The Eagles dominated (Hotel California & Stairway To Heaven were #3 & # 4 on list) and bands like The Velvet Underground & Radiohead were no where to be found. so anyway I pulled out all my CDs (and some of my dad's) and decided to make my own list of the 100 best songs in rock n' roll. Now they are not in order. Only The first ten represent what I think are the ten best songs in rock n' roll history, the rest are just fit into the mix where they go well. This is volume #1 of 4. I'm sure most people will think my list sucks (but I don't care it's MY list). The Beatles are the dominate Band because they Are and always will be the Best songwriters. Nirvana has the second most songs because they are the band that had the biggest influence on my tastes and opened up the doors for lots of artists i would have never heard of. anyway enough crap. now for vol. II.

I like the broad array of artists, and I ESPECIALLY like the discipline it takes to plan out and pull this kinda thing off. Right on. Inspiring.

Was that the article in *Mojo* by any chance? 'Cause that really pissed me off, too. Of course it could be any tope 100 list (top 100 according to whom?), but the Mojo list had "Baby One More Time" on the list, but no Radiohead or VU. That was just ridiculous. Great idea, BTW. I may try a version my self.

I've tried making my own list of 100 best songs but I always lose interest or patience. However, I really like looking at other people's lists. Yours is a good one.
