this is a mix for my best friend amy. i've listed it under "romantic" because i really do love her... i dunno how best to explain. it's not a romantic love, or a physical love, but we've been through a lot together and there is a lot of love between us. i made this mix during the school holidays because we'd been apart for so long and i missed her. plus she said she was doing me one. i picked all the songs here for their lyrics, because they described how she is, how we are. i thought i'd make a mix in the pedantic fahion, with two of every artist, but i made it unique all the same. the title is from 'your resistance' which says a lot about her - you are a complex companion/ but you are a puzzle worth solving/ without this puzzle what reason do i have? amy has a lot of problems, with depression and self harm and the like. and most of the time it's just her and me and nobody else. i get really worried about her sometimes, because she doesn't value her life, or herself. which is sad for me, because i love her so much. is it weird to be the reason someone is living? well, i hope it's enough.
