Her name *is* Emily! And she has a nosering! The rest of the titles don't has as much significance, although I'm from Michigan's upper peninsula, we met in 2003 and we went to IHOP one time.

Oh, the cover and title refer to her glass mosaic hobby, which she started doing last summer and has since "crept" into basically every facet of her life.
