Comment:
One of four 60 min. tapes honoring the 40th anniversary of the big invasion. With Beatles covers the ocean of tunes out there is truly staggering - these four hours just touch the surface. I've aimed for a mix of eras and styles to indicate the supreme influence the lads have had. Few of these would be considered great (a common symptom of Beatles covers) but are entertaining/interesting in their own way. And Captain Kirk stands alone. The frightening thing is, there are so many more covers out there (mostly unbelievably awful) than you could ever have the time (or desire) to lend an ear to.
Feedback:
Excellent!
This series is an inspired & different take on the eternal Beatles-revisited thing. Some inspired choices, too!
Also cool. I'm assuming that you know that "Golden Slumbers" and "Helter Skelter" are Beatle Paul tunes? And I love the Echo and Groovies picks on their own merits.
i love love love that breeders cover!
