Comment:
One of four 60 min. tapes celebrating a weekend Ed Sullivan (and millions of others) would not soon forget. Cristina is poorly sung '70s disco (god bless yard sale 45s), Nick Cave is at his lugubrious best, Billy Bragg really does a number on "Revolution," and Mae West is, well, Mae West. This is all over the place because the Beatles just had that kind of influence. Most covers fall into one of two camps: earnest and often poor & ironic and funny. I still like some of the earnest stuff (David Peel may have written only one song but it's got a good beat and you can dance to it).

Nice series!
I'm not a Beatles Fan per say but I think that the series is excellent...how bout onesw for Pete Best and Stu Sutcliffe!!! Great Job.
Neat. Beatle Paul is my favorite, although his songs tend to provoke the cheesiest covers.
