Comment:

1973 was a HUGE year for the ex-Beats. (Notice how I skipped over 1972 - John's mediocre Sometime in New York City was the only solo work released; some of those songs show up on this one).
Ringo finally released an album w/new songs on it, the self-titled Ringo. John bounced back from Sometime in NYC with the excellent Mind Games album. George released the really-quite-good Living in the Material World. But '73 was really Paul's year. Why? Four little words - Band on the Run. BotR is Macca's solo masterpiece, with only Tug of War and Back to the Egg even coming close. As w/Imagine, I hate to chop BotR up, but in the interest of science, it must be done. But BotR was released at the end of that turbulent year (December); in the spring, Paul released the decent Red Rose Speedway - and when I write "decent," I mean compared to '71's offerings, not to what he was to unveil at the end of 1973.
There's mucho material to choose from here, so I present to you the second proper double album from the Beatles - these guys just keep rolling along, don't they? You may also notice that I included John's single from earlier on, Cold Turkey. John finally convinced Paul how great a song it was.
The title & cover is an homage to Marcel Duchamp. I think that the Beatles would have appreciated his art and would have liked this play on their record label symbol.
Singles: 1. Band on the Run b/w Bluebird; 2. Mind Games b/w Tight A$; 3. Photograph b/w Let Me Roll It; 4. Give Me Love b/w Out the Blue; 5. Jet b/w New York City; 6. Cold Turkey b/w Helen Wheels; 7. My Love b/w One Day (At a Time).

As with all double albums (The White is no exception) this is an uneven effort from the Fab 4. Having said that, their "uneven" is better than a lot of artists "great".
Seeing as I've done this once before to you, I'm going to say; I'd prefer Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond) to You're 16.
