Comment:

Don't wanna get to lawdy over Curtis...he weren't a God or Martyr...just a lad from Manchester who wrote fine lyrics...I remember when he died I was at school (private) and we conned the reverend to say a prayer for Ian Curtis...'Who's Ian Curtis?'..'Oh just a friend'....he wasn't...shouldn't think he'd have liked private school boys...don't think we'd have liked him...after all he was Northern...we were Southern...but he was never far from my radio casette player...and it's easy to forget the rest of the band....coz without them he'd have been just another angst ridden writer writing lyrics in the back of a note-book....yeah, still play 'em and feel the spine tingle...even though you can detect many influences in Joy Division from Iggy to Morisson..somehow their 2 albums sound unique and though other bands have tried/ still trying they'll never come close to Joy Division... Great mix again. I would've liked to see the Primites song, "Do the Ostrich" on here somewhere, as it was allegedly Curtis' favorite Lou Reed song, but finding room for it might have been tough.

Tres Bien un mix magnifique. Hey Dom any idea if Joy Division started off life as a Warsaw or Warsaw Pact? Saw a band years ago when I was a kid and have been wondering lately if they were a fledgling J.D.

One of the greatst band I've ever seen but I'm not sure I think JJ72, Elbow and other pretty bleak artist are a tribute to them
