Comment:

After my "Flashing Picture Hurts" mix, it was only right to put together garage/punk/pop from the original era. I was going thru my records and came across a record I have called "Outta Site" from the sixties and I think I picked it up due to a Paul Revere and The Raiders tune called "Like Charelston" and the groovy sixties chick on the cover. The rest of the stuff I never bothered to listen to untill recently (10 or more years later, well loe and behold the record was as dismall as I thought untill I got to the The Beachnuts, wow this is Lou Reed in a pre -Velvet Underground phase. I had no idea I had this nugget. I put the Emergency Crew on this tape as well, its pre-Warlock Grateful Dead. The Outsiders are the Dutch Outsiders, not the "Time Won't Let Me" Cleveland group. My personal fave on this tape is the New Jersey teen sensations- The Young Monkey Men,featuring guitar-god 13yr old Eugene Patracilla.

Shit man. Clearly you also have a copy of the CD that came with "Unknown Legends of R'n'R." So good, but so infuriating 'cuz I can't find any more stuff by The Outsiders and Mystic Tide. Two bands that clearly deserve better representation in the stores.

This is Great, I keep seeing garage comps with stuff I haven't heard before. It's amazing how much is out there!
