This was made for a friend for Valentines Day 2003. I chose songs based on things I was listening to at the moment, a lot of new stuff for the time. The theme of a progression of a day, or 'a life in a day' was built in late into making the mix. Dawn starts with Nick Drake From The Morning andthe next songs build up into getting ready for the day, etc. Bjork's Sun In My Mouth represents sunset when the light hits from the side. And then Neko Case's I Wish I Was The Moon is twilight. I wish I would have gone farther with that theme. The middle doesn't really try to do it. Also, I am dissatisfied with the inclusion of Doug Martsch because it is such a harsh start to a song after the softness of Nico. OH WELL.
