Comment:

Hello people of the mix. This is my latest concoction of music. I recently had a friend of mine state that the fine genre of post-rock 'was not really music'. I disagreed. The title's roots are obvious. I decided to pass on some of the classic bands of the genre in favor of a fresh, more melodic set. I know some of you familiar with post-rock will heckle me for such omissions. Please forgive me. If you would like to compile the mix but can't find some tunes (this will likely be the case) feel free to e-mail me or look me up on Soulseek under username beattheindiedrum. Enjoy.

Great looking mix. I must admit, I have a bit of a love/hate thing going for the whole post-rock bag (and I suspect I'm not alone there). When I first heard Tortoise's Millions Now Living Will Never Die I loved it but then the preponderance of bandwagon bands turned me off the whole genre. That said, this has me interested as I don't know half the bands here and I'm sucker for obscurity :) Nice one.

This looks like a really great mix. I'm a little disappointed that Do Make Say Think didn't make the listing, but I understand that it probably didn't work in the flow of things.

Out of curiosity, the friend that told you that post rock "is not real music" wouldn't happen to be a repairer of pancakes, would he?
