Comment:

It's been almost a year since the Bush War began and the demonstrations will be happening again next week. I'm hoping my daughter doesn't get arrested again this time. So it's time for another anti-war mix. This is the 4th volume in my series of anti-war/protest mixes.

Great mix. Too bad it's so relevant.

Yes. Absolutely. I agree completely. It is tragic. You should hear Luka Bloom's "I am not at war". It should be on a mix I have in the works.

Ditto each and every one of Sean's words (except that Luka Blopom very probably won't appear on any of MY mixes).

"If you want to end war & stuff, you've got to sing loud" -- said Arlo Guthrie, a long time ago. Would you be interested in a trade for my "Empty War Head" mix, (dedicated to Generalissimo Bush)?

Excellent selections. I particularly admire the Patti Smith and Cranberries cuts. I'm recommending this badly written but important article to everyone today: Salon: Pentagon cooked WMD books

This looks like a fantastic mix. The Richie Havens song gives me chills when I hear it. George, you should be proud to have raised a politically aware child! I can only hope I will be as fortunate.

okay, I agree that this is a good mix, but I for one am in the Army and in Iraq as we speak. I hate to see Americans not supporting me then I look at the Kuwaitis and they are glad to see us here. I don't totally agree with why we are here, but it's my job. I don't like seeing these kind of mixes. What happened to American pride? Tina

Great mix George! Would like to trade if you're up to it. "The white man is a stranger who comes in the night and takes from the land what he needs. The earth is not his brother but his enemy. Continue to contaminate your bed and you will one night suffocate in your own waste." Chief Sealth, Duwamish Tribe, Correspondence to President Franklin Pierce in 1895. Although we are told we have Freedom, in times like this, if you disagree, you are UnAmerican, UnChristian. How is this Freedom my friends. How is Killing a group of people somewhere else right, but if it happens here, it's wrong? It's time for people to accept that for some, you just can't sit back and accept things pushed down your throat if they're just Downright Wrong and Unacceptable. "GET UP STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS!" sorry George!

For Tina - I spent 4 years on active duty in the military and have earned the right to criticize a president who's lies and deceit has put you and hundreds of thousands of fellow veterans in harm's way. I also have visited 32 countries and know first hand how great our country is and how good we have it. I love my country, I served my country and I hate what our mis-leaders have done to it.

I support our troops and one way to show that support is to pressure Bush into bringing you back home quickly and safely.

"Military Madness" is killing the country. I love this country and our military but we are in the wrong place for the wrong reasons at the wrong time. It all starts at the top. Please vote.

Excellent mix George. Love the Clash and UB40 tracks especially. Fine sentiment as well, though I think it's safe to say that we're well into an occupation at this point, which may be Bush's downfall as the American public probably doesn't have the stomach for the US' Imperialist imperatives.

Great mix, even greater cause. I love the XTC and Dylan picks. I also love this comment: "I support our troops and one way to show that support is to pressure Bush into bringing you back home quickly and safely."

Nice mix in the tradition of rock music and anti war sentiments. I don't understand why so many people see 'anti-war" and "pro-American" as oppisite sides.

Fabulous...
To anyone who hasnt figured it out.. you stand against this sort of travesty of leadership because you love the American people and you love the principals that the country was founded on. You protest if nothing else to show non compliance. You protest because you dont want to see another life cut short, and another family destroyed. You protest because you dont want to see another man or woman spend the rest of thier life with part of them suspended somewhere across the world.. something they may never have back. Each and every one of you are worth more than all of the oil in the world.. and mixes like these are here to fortify you when your heart is sick and your head is tired.
