Comment:

The Premise

The drawing together of three disparate mixes via a loose concept.
To form a holism based on that concept using the classic divisions:

Mind - represented by the clicks, whirrs and mathematics of the microsound family & friends
Body - represented by the visceral impacts of percussion based sounds
Spirit - represented by ineffable musics of seekers

The creation of said mixes in parallel, moving form one to the other as the urge dictates.

trf'age n.
sorting according to quality; assignment of degrees of urgency to decide order of treatment
Etymology:From Old French Trier - to try

trf- comb. form.
three, triple, thrice

age a.
a period in history or human progress

Notes on "trī`age - bŏ'dў"
One of the great things about percussion music is the textures that can be created when you're not bashing away with the mallets. With so much material, I created a two disk set here, one of the body awake and the other of the body asleep. The other striking (ho-ho) thing about percussion music is its humour and in the awake CD I tried to pick up on this by dropping various samples in there and by incongruous juxtaposition. So, be warned, with the awake mix you will find samples from Ruth Underwood in Zappa's RDNZL, The Beatles only drum solo, ELO, Deep Purple's The Mule and Alphonse Mouzon's Funky Snakefoot.

Being an early arriver, I sing high praises for this Magnum Opus Gary....I am but a fumbling piker.
Pre-ditto-ing what all & any may utter when viewing such brilliance..!

Unbelievably brilliant. Disc One is perfect for driving around the city or blowing people away at a party. Disc Two is perfect for a rainy Sunday afternoon or winding down late at night with a cup of chamomile tea.
