Comment:

Man there are a lot of covers on here. Bob & Kim covering th Everyly Brothers/Nazareth, Chan (Cat power) covering Oasis, Yo La Tengo covering Iggy Pop, & Damien Jurado doing an old folk tune. i didn't mean to do that. There are actually 25 tracks on here. 5 random sound bytes sprinkled within. I like it.

Actually Love Hurts was first brought to the public attention via The Everly Brothers, later Gram Parsons with some help from Emmylou Harris would give the song its grandest performance(Return Of The Grievous Angel) The Nazareth version seems to have been a staple on FM classic rock "dude" stations. I am not familiar with Kim and Bob's version and can only guess it was probably more inspired by Gram and Emmylou than Nazareth. I could be wrong.

I fixed it. I knew I was wrong. I couldn't for the life of me figure out who did originally. Now it's all settled.

Roy Orbison does a beautiful reading of it, as well.
