Comment:

This is actually 2 CD's not a tape but it won't let you choose CD if you use both sides and since i made this as a set i want to show it as a set. okay i promise no more fucking post punk mixes. yeah so this is it my definitive 2 disc set of late 70s early 80s DIY/Post-Punk. i must give a shout out the bands that didn't make the cut. sorry This Heat, Teenage Jesus & The Jerks, Pigbag, Talking Heads, Romeo Void, The Embarrassment, Young Marble Giants, Section 25, Mo-Dettes, Soft Boys, OMD, New Order, Teardrop Explodes, Jesus & Mary Chain, Echo & The Bunnymen, Blurt, blah blah blah etc etc etc...you are all missed. i didn't have the patience for a third disc. anyway go buy records by all these bands, or at least find some of their singles (some of these bands don't even have fucking albums). also i mentioned this on another mix i made a few weeks ago but you should really check out the new Mojo with Frank Zappa on the cover cause it has a really good post punk article and a great article on Public Image Ltd, as well as journalist/post-punk super fan Jon Savages on Post Punk mix CD (which i might add was criminally not part of the magazine).

Astounding/outstanding!
So many great tracks and bands here, far too numerous to name. (The Mojo article referred to is well worth grabbing.) That Magazine track sends me into orbit every time. Great Bush Tetras and Pylon...
