Comment:
My annual birthday mix for my friend Steve, who this year hit the big four-five, hence the Elvis title track. Great FoW b-side, ne'er-to-be-forgotten powerpop by the Kings, a 60s pop run, a pair of 60s duets, a coupla Frenchies and Burt's chorale runs amuck to close side one. Jump and swing lead into rockabilly and country craziness, a quick jaunt round the world for Brazilian nuts, Spanish grease, Japanese cheese, Yiddish schmaltz and French, well, frenchness before Billy brings it all back home. I'm packin' my bags, I'm on my way. Only one artist here is in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, and it's NOT ELVIS' FAULT!Feedback:
Great stuff, Eric. It's always cool to see a mix from you.
This so fun and fabulous...I love it!
What a birfdee gift! Makes the age a bit easier to take..., great choice from Cub Koda's group and the Kings made a helluva'n LP back when....(good track, but I like others on it better...however, he is gliding to 45!) No "Stars on 45"...? How ya' been..?!
Greta, great, great Vertebrats. That song alone welcomes them into my hall of fame. Some hot greasy cheese abounds throughout this as well.
