Comment:
made earlier, remained unposted because, well, i felt it was too pretentious. ah well. music transcends language and all that jazz, i guess.Feedback:
it doesn't look pretentious at all to me, but no jane birkin?
Tres bien...!
the rule is, if it feels good-do it.
Man, i wish i had a clue.
I speak French. interesting arrangement you have here, my friend.
Thought I'd had a memory lapse and submitted a mix without knowing it. Je parlez Frantais un petit peu seulement. I recognise most of these artists but will stick with Reggae Frantais merci. The French do for popular music what the British do for gourmet cooking.
That's more like it . . . ;)

Sorry for posting that twice - and Stephan Eicher is Swiss, of course, not French.
I speak high school french, which is pretty close to no french at all, but it's enough to sing along with french songs, which I find a lot of fun. I'd sing along to this mix - I particularly like MC Solaar and Manu Chao. You might want to check out songs by Juile Doiron or Kahimi Karie. They're Canadian and Japanese, respectively, but still worth a listen. :)
yeah, I agree with reverbe. =)
yes I do know M. Eicher is Swiss, and Jacques Brel is Belgian and a few others. I meant 'pop in French', I guess, silly me. Thanks for all the heads ups and comments.
hi yertle, i work with 3 lovely french girls, and i think they'd be most impressed if i had a copy of this!!! up for a trade?
I just found this and I must say, it's fantastic. Someone on here said to not bother with French popular music, but some of it can be great. Nice choices, great mix.
this is all good!! don't you love mathieu boogaerts? i recommend jean francois-coen. i think you will love him!
