To promote my music review website, www.cutthechord.com, I've created this first sampler mix of music that's been reviewed on the site (along with the input of CTC co-founder Josh Boone). I'm working on the cover art for it now, and I plan to leave copies at local independent record shops (and a few other independent businesses) to try to do two things; one, promote the site, and two, promote the artists (and labels) included on the mix. As Boone can attest to, I spent FOREVER mixing this CD, because as I put it... this CD is for complete strangers, who don't have to pretend to like it. So it better be really good. Now, listen to me! Start downloading songs by these bands, by any bands you haven't heard of! You're never gonna find new music if you don't take the time to seek it out! Get cracking!
