Comment:
This was last spring. I was going on a road trip with my dad around Southern California, looking at colleges and camping out. After five months, I was just getting over a yearlong relationship that ended terribly and finally had my thoughts set on someone new. While I didn't conciously think of that while making this mix (it just happened to be what I was listening to that I wanted to take with me) A lot of that energy came off in it. It's a new beginning, and while I still missed her, there was hope again for the first time in a very long time.Feedback:
Chas is my hero! Yes, I have been in that situation too, and made a mix for the same reason! Still loving you my friend...keep up the good work! :)
I'm unable to decide whether I prefer the acoustic or electric version of Layla. Either way, it's great mix material. Much like the Weezer, Pixies, Wilco, and PG.
Great mix, some really great combos in this (esp Clapton-Mac-Chapman-Phish). And any mix that starts off with the morse code signal of "Ordinary Day" is work well done. Cheers! -AF.
