This was last spring. I was going on a road trip with my dad around Southern California, looking at colleges and camping out. After five months, I was just getting over a yearlong relationship that ended terribly and finally had my thoughts set on someone new. While I didn't conciously think of that while making this mix (it just happened to be what I was listening to that I wanted to take with me) A lot of that energy came off in it. It's a new beginning, and while I still missed her, there was hope again for the first time in a very long time.
