if not for the pixies most of my favorite bands probably wouldn't even be around. i'd rank them only behind THE BEATLES, BLACK SABBATH, & THE RAMONES in influence.Feedback:
i would rank them after Black Sabbath & The Ramones but below the Beatles, but then I wouldn't rank Black Sabbath or The Ramones anywhere - as for the Pixies themselves I was only into them for their screaming, energy and the kick they gave rock 'n' roll up the ass + a couple of their choons used dance rhythms like The Clash which is always nice to see. What I would have added to your mix is a couple of b-sides from their EPs such as Into The White. There were also some illegal dance mixes that came out in the UK (part of the mad Acid House scene) which gave the songs new meaning. my 2 cents ....rocky
