This mix is a ball of memories for me. I made it the fall of '97. My senior year in high school. back then riverfenix were still called riverfenix and still uncool. Sleeper was still Sleeper and hadn't changed their name to Serpico because of that crappy english band. And Guns N wankers were snuff disguised as a metal band. The toasters had a singer you knew wasn't going to be on the next album. Certain members of shelter weren't worried about starting other certain groups in order to get back to their hardcore roots. Bad Religion only had one bad major label album to speak of. Emory Swank hadn't broke up yet and were still the best pop punk band in Philly. AFI were still some nothing special cali hardcore band and had not yet got that amazing goth-hardcore sound. And I was loving every minute of it.
