I met a guy from Italy living in the states this weekend, & I was amazed that he had only been speaking English since last year. It kinda inspires
me to want to learn a foreign language.... though I can't decide between Spanish, German, French, or Italian. I did take high school Spanish, but
ya know, that doesn't count :-P I know German seems to dominate here, but I mixed it up as much as possible.
