Comment:

After filling up tape after tape with songs by Smog, Will Oldham, Richard Buckner, Dirty 3, Sparklehorse and other cheery types I decided I'd better make a tape that my bring a smile to the face of my girl (the Cindy of the title). A bunch of dumb covers, upbeat rock songs and dumb pop songs interspersed with snippings of various tv shows and movies. How can you not love a tape that has a Degrassi High cover on it?

Wow, the Melniks cover that song? It's not enough that they have the best album title ever. Nice Gorky's, Pavement, You Am I, Beach Boys and Weezer picks.

I assume you mean: "have you ever noticed that Gordon from sesame street looks exactly like errol from hot chocolate". I was such a Melniks groupie in the mid 90s. Their covers alone were enough to keep you in - sabotage, motor away, close to you etc etc. Possibly the funnest band I own CDs by.

Yeah, that's the one! I seem to recall Screamfeeder covering a song off Sesame Street as well...
