Oh, this is lovely! I had also wanted to do something similar, but I think this is better than anything I'd have come up with, although my favourite artistes francais are probably Louise Attaque. I especially like the Francoise Hardy pick, the Yann Tiersen, Edith Piaf and Plastic Bertrand - great flow overall.
