we might want to include leonard cohen in the question as well, considering he wrote it...but buckley's version brings the house down.

I have to say: the Ryan Adams song (from Demolition) is
not the same Hallelujah.
As for who does it best? Jeff Buckley, without a doubt. In fact, I haven't given this mix to my friend yet (it's a surprise) and I think I'm gonna rejig it a bit.

Definitely needs the Cohen version, but it's a great mix! White Stripes into The Monkees? Very interesting!
