Comment:
[it's easy to be underwhelmed by this guy. his music doesn't so much demand entrance at the door as scratch -- sans damage -- at some distant back windowpane. but i can relate to his beguilement by the booze. and i can respect his ultimate decision, which -- far from being an "easy way out" -- demands the utmost in self-loathing self-control to successfully see through. he was 34. i'm there in less than three weeks. i wonder if he fixated on existing past his "jesus year." one does not have to be religious in the least to so fixate...]
Feedback:
ugh. that paloalto song "last way out of here" reminds me so much of elliott and the situation he found himself in. but then if you go back, listen to all the records all you can say is, "well damn, who DIDN'T see that coming?" *s* nice mix. have you heard music by his former band Heatmiser? I have a cd if you'd like a copy.
I always think of that line from "Rose Parade" that says 'when they sweep the streets, I'll be the only shit that's left behind'...so sad that someone that talented had hate himself so much.
