Comment:
I created this mix to serve as a soundtrack to my commutes to school. It's comprised mostly of uptempo tunes to keep my mood up. There are a few covers of Chuck Berry's work. I've been reading a biography of him, so he's probably served as the initial inspiration for the mix's song selection. The Hendrix track is from the Uncut (4/04) compilation. The Ike & Tina song is especially good at lifting my spirits. "Reptilia" is my favorite track on an album that I disliked initially. Two months later, "Room on Fire" won me over. The Jet song exemplifies their rock-oriented work, which I vastly prefer over their ballads.
"Now I'm Here" is included in the mix because of the last line, which borrows the chorus from the final track.
