Comment:
(borrowed heavily from another mix of mine. happy birthday: for a boy)
Feedback:
Where is that quote from? It's so beautiful. The tape was awesome too. Did you like Eternal Sunshine? Anyway cudos on a wicked mix.
the quote is from the velveteen rabbit by margery williams. the eternal sunshine was wonderful; in the movie, clementine was originally supposed to say that quote instead of talking about her doll in the scene from the photo. the movie was beautiful and the photo was beautiful and the quote was beautiful so i just mushed them all together. :)
This mix is great and that movie rocked! How did you get the dialogue?
outstanding mix, like the d.rice song!
for the dialogue, i downloaded the movie (muaha) and found my three favourite parts and recorded with a recording-program set on stereo-mix, which records what's on the computer. since i didn't give much explanation about the quote are as follows: "you're pretty" if from the photo, when kate and jim are under the blankets. it begins with "joely?" "tangerine," "am i ugly?" and finishes with "please, let me keep this memory, just this one." i used transitions and it fades quite nicely into the background guitars of the big picture. "i'm just happy" is when jim and kate are lying on the frozen ice looking at the stars. it begins at "i could die right now clem," and ends at "i'm just exactly where i want to be." it's only :27, and there's about :30 of just guitars in ooh la la, so i recorded the dialogue over the guitars, keeping them at a low level. when the dialogue finished, there's a few seconds of guitars and the singing begins. the last bit of dialogue fades into jim on the tape "... that much time with someone, only to find out that she's a stranger." then there's the wonderful conversation between jim and kate, the "just wait!" bit, and the credits begin with the final song. ps: i'm glad you like the mix. :)
this is just fantastic.
so when do i get a copy? lol
just wow
