Comment:
1. It was either this or the Clash's 'London Calling'.2. It's an odd choice, yes, considering it's a Carpenters cover and all, but what the hey.
3. This has never really happened to me, but I remember buying Sound Of Water by the Et. and while I didn't really hate the other songs, none were as good as 'Heart Failed'.
4. Roddy's Scotch accent put me on the wrong track completely. 'You're an abstract/I know why' is actually 'Abstract's/an unknown boy'.
5. Because 'This Is A Low' is one of the greatest songs ever and then this one minute bit of nothing comes in.
6. Not one to comment, and I think the press like to exaggerate a lot, but Liam's not exactly the nicest bloke in town (will not comment on his physical attractiveness).
7. Either this or the Super Furries' 'Man Don't Give A Fuck'. 'Jesus was a black man/no Jesus was Batman/no fuck now!/that was Bruce Wayne!' Genius.
8. They do, don't they?
9. Because I live in the middle of nowhere. I bought the one copy the store had, and I've yet to see another store (even the big ones like HMV and Tower) stock a copy.
10. It just does.
11. The good Lady Lemon once described the New Pornographers as being analogous to 'super-happy Sesame Street' music, and I tend to agree. Excellent, excellent stuff.
12. This one's from the England Euro '96 album. Most football albums are complete shit but this one's worth seeking out, Three Lions song notwithstanding.
13. I know none that fit this category, really, but I guess I wouldn't actually want to play this song when my mum's around.
14. I can't think of anyone.
15. It's very difficult to say, but I think this is one of the best songs I've heard in the past six months or so, the vocalist notwithstanding.16. I think they rock harder than most groups these days, male or female.
17. Despite my crappy Japanese I can actually still sing quite a bit of this one without stumbling. I guess you do learn better when you're younger.
18. No one I know (other than online) truly appreciates the greatness of Maiden.
19. It's from a radio broadcast somewhere. Straightforward version, but really good.
20. Well it's a song that makes me want to dance. And to paraphrase Neil Young, when I dance, I can really forget.
