Born, 9 Oct'69 near Yeovil, England..to music-loving hippie Parents.Recommended Listening: Almost anything, though Dance Hall At Louise Point and 4-Track Demos are my least favourite but I'm quite willing to concede I'm deaf and sonically challenged. My fave album is To Bring You My Love.make of this what you will.
Recommended Viewing: In defence of 4-Track Demos I would like to point out the titilating picture of Polly in lace, black knickers and generous spread of red lip-stick.on the reverse Polly is wearing a sheet of plastic through which a breast can be clearly seen.it irks me somewhat that I do not have the LP of this but then I do have a whopping Hard Drive and Scanner. what else is a Hard Drive for.
The single `C'mon Billy' also sports a lust worthy image of PJ lying on a bed in fish-nets. Personally, I'm not a fish-net loving guy, preferring sheer-nylons, but I'm willing to concede I'm visually challenged.
Notes On This Mix: Cave's Track of course was written about PJ Harvey.needless to say the romance failed!

I love these "This one's for..." mixes that you're doing. This is really great to see - one of my friends is really, really into PJ Harvey and all her West Country (!) pals, and introduced me to some lovely stuff like How Animals Move, and has recommended some starting points for Polly Jean herself. I *love* the Yardbirds - Blondie - Nina Simone progression - very nice work!! (By the way, I think Nick Cave and PJ Harvey can look scarily alike sometimes. Just as an aside.)
I think my fave's Is This Desire? but i love love love PJ's version of Highway 61' revisited for it's cheeky little obscured beginning, hopefully luring unsuspecting listeners to turn it up until... But, yeah, anyway much great noise grroove and one of my favourite Blondie tracks...
As a fellow worshipper of the great Polly Jean, I totally dig this!!
