This is me trying to broaden my selections and put in some jazz. The original concept for this mix was for it to start out with "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" from Pink Floyd, but the 8 minutes of guitar feedback for an opener didn't turn out to be so appealing. Badly Drawn Boy's "All Possibilities" was also orignally part of the plan, but had to be cut for time. I think it turned out well dispite going against my plans. Enjoy!

I dont know all of these songs, but the sequence from Astrud Gilberto to Modern English strikes me as dead spot on. And Big Boi going into Miles going into Lou Reed is a nice way of making Walk on the Wild Side seem a little fresher than previous.
Gimme Shelter is up among my alltime favorite songs, and I think it works brilliantly in this mix. So much about that tune gives me goosebumps...the spiraling quiet guitar intro, the chiiiick-chick-ca that kicks in about 4 bars in, and that female back-up's kick ass solo towards the end.
